From conversation with one of his many Predecessors, the Ten had caught word of a certain specimen that did not follow the “Be careful with what you wish for” ideal. It truly was a shame, indeed. If only it had managed to find this being before the Nines had… if only. But that was just a thought in the past now, Jubey was here to observe and nothing more.

I understand why you hid away, and I know of your obscure nature as you are not an actual human being. The reason you were even able to create a contract is beyond my own thought process, however… what I was getting at is simple. If you would have contracted with my generation, the chances of you becoming a Witch, and losing what humanity you had would have been protected.
You would have not had to become the thing your beloved would forever be tormented by. As for your friend, Kyubey… the contract was necessary for our sole purpose. I had almost gotten worried that it’s new found emotions had pushed that one aside, but it was pleasant to see there was no change.
